Jordan Hogan: Beat Kean

Jordan Hogan and the Golden Eagles are ranked No. 17 in the latest national rankings
These next two games will tell a lot about what type of team we are. Traveling to Kean then Rowan will be a tough task but we are more than capable of returning home with the win. The team morale and spirit is at an all time high right now. We are loving the support we are getting from the community and hope that it will continue. But first things first... Beat the Kean Cougars!!

Jordan Hogan: Homecoming

Its great being 2-0, but it would be better if we were 3-0, and we plan on being just that after the game tomorrow. All week the upperclassmen have been doing a great job at keeping the team focused on TCNJ and not what our record is. There is a buzz around campus about the football team, that hasn’t been here for some time now. We feel great about our chances tomorrow vs TCNJ. We realize that the most important game is the next game on the schedule, and that every team is our rival.

Jordan Hogan: Camp's Over

Well the time has finally come to hit and go up against a person in a jersey that does not say Brockport on the front of it. Training Camp is now over and the season is about to begin. The most important game is the next game on the schedule, which means Lycoming is first up. I truly feel and believe that we are ready for this battle we face tomorrow. All of the hard work that we all have put in since the last game of last season, will be shown tomorrow at 1 p.m.

2012 Captains Chosen

Joe Scibilia
Jordan Hogan
Derek DeCandia

The College at Brockport Football team has announced its’ three captains for the upcoming 2012 season. Linebacker Derek DeCandia (Beacon, NY/Beacon), wide receiver Jordan Hogan (Lockport, NY/Newfane) and quarterback Joe Scibilia (North Tonawanda, NY/Starpoint) were elected by their fellow teammates. All three captains are seniors.

Scibilia led a potent offense for the Golden Eagles last year, ranking first in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) with 432.8 total yards per game. Scibilia averaged a league-high 250.9 passing yards per game while completing 62.1 percent of his passes, tied for second in the conference.

Hogan helped contribute to the high-powered offense after catching 47 passes for 685 yards, both team highs. The 2012 preseason All-American ranked third in the NJAC in both receptions per game and receiving yards per game last year.

DeCandia returns for a fifth season after missing a majority of the 2011 season due to an injury. DeCandia started all 10 games in both the 2010 and 2009 season and has registered 155 tackles over his career. The senior led Brockport with 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles for a loss during the 2010 season.

Brockport opens up their regular season on Sept. 1 on the road against Lycoming College. The team’s home opener is set for Sept. 8 against Buffalo State.

Jordan Hogan: Ready for Camp

These last few weeks leading up towards training camp for the 2012 season have been killing me. The only thing I have been thinking about is practice, teammates and my coaches. I miss them all so much, they are my family away from home. This off- season I can say I have worked the hardest I have ever to get better for this season. I have been throwing with QB Joe Scibilia and WR’s Andrew Mrozek and Eddie Krecisz. We all are from the WNY area and UB is the meeting  spot for us. We have all been meeting at UB’s football field to catch footballs and work on various skills that we will need for this yr. Roughly 7 days away from the start of training camp and 5 days away till I am back at Bport for the long haul. Move into my house with my football buddies on next Wednesday. Can’t Wait!! I have personally been watching a lot of film of other WRs that range from college to the Pros, have worked with a former Syracuse Orange football player on my skills, and have ran some routes vs. D1 defensive backs. I am making sure I am ready to lead the team this year. I feel great and have a special feeling about this year. I have been talking to many of the returners and incoming freshman and we all share the same goal….. Win win WIN!
